Its functions include:
- Assume the corporate representation of all members before authorities, public organizations, courts of law and any legally constituted entity.
- The organization of the practice of nursing in the area of its competence.
- Ensure professional ethics, avoid intrusion and unfair competition between professionals, intervene as a mediator and with arbitration procedures in conflicts that, for professional reasons, arise between members, and exercise disciplinary jurisdiction in professional matters. and schoolchildren.
- Organize conferences, congresses, conferences, acquire books for your library, publish magazines, brochures, circulars and, in general, put into practice the means deemed necessary to stimulate the technical, scientific and humanistic improvement of the profession.
- Organize common activities and services of a professional nature (legal, labor, tax and any kind of advisory services; cultural, healthcare, training, welfare, etc.) that are of interest to the members.
The General Nursing Council (CGE) is the representative body of the Provincial Colleges.
